A Song of Songs is an interpretation of a collection of biblical poems. The show explores the want and need for love, and within this, how a women could be exiled because of it. On this show I accepted the role of associate designer, aiding the costuming processes while Marina Paz was unable to come to the UK. Due to the nature of the show I spent time with the director in rediscovering what the costumes would look like, and how the rehearsal process was forming feature and colours to yet be explored. The show is full of colour and flamboyancy in its flamenco style, the simplistic set allows for the expression of the costumes to stand out to the audience, and provide the character and colour of the world of Tirzah.
